Puzzles are rather simple, though the graphics, the sound effects and the physics of the game are decent. The story is quite interesting and it is unveiled by reading notes on each level. The duration is also satisfying for an indie title. For me Lethe - Episode One is a gem for the indie horror games category, a must play for those into it.. Not so scary but its stil worth its horror title.. Finally finished this game after little over 11 hours. Was it worth the price? I believe so. I easily got $16 of fun out of this. It probably took me longer than others because I ended up needing to wait for the Devs to add the improved brightness sliders and more save points. I couldn't see anything in the game(black screen everywhere I went). I also had a problem with the save points before they were fixed. The monster hits VERY hard and you can get two shot if you're not careful. With the original system, you could lose a boatload of progress when you died and that wasn't fun. It's much better now! I really enjoyed the story and the atmosphere as well as the puzzles, though I needed a little help on a couple. :PI'm not sure about replayability as there isn't really much reason to explore aside from collecting notes or potions and most of those are gotten on your first playthrough. I think I would dust this title off again if I were doing a marathon playthrough of all the episodes. But there needs to be an episode two for that. Hopefully more folks support this team so they can get the ball rolling on the next one. Grats to the Devs on a job well done and I look forward to the possible future Lethe: Episode Two!. Well, well, well...Lethe:Episode One...Just finished the game and seriously the ending is disappointing...I know it's only Episode One but the ending doesn't make me want to buy episode 2, except that I probably will; for everything the game has done well. For starters, it's visually enticing, the colour patterns have been chosen wisely to instill a gloomy atmosphere from the beginning and as you progress further onto the mine until you reach the lower levels that are simply scary. And the scariness is amplified by a very good use of lightning too. Great job people.Concerning the sound effects and music, I really believe they were very well chosen, precise, fitting, there aren't too many of them to the point you get disconnected from the ambience and there aren't too few of them to the point they'd become irrelevant. It's a perfect balance and they do participate in creating the unease and feeling of being unsafe I've felt all along the game. Great job on that too people. Now to the things I think could use improvement.Level design wise, there's too much of crossroads, check left, check right, check in front, repeat...it felt like a labyrinth much of the time but I made it through anyway...at some point I started the game again after a day, and I had no idea where to go, what to do, I even went back for 10 minutes thinking it was the way to go.The story-telling could also be improved, because the only exposition you receive is through countless notes, it gets repetitive...Finally, the telekinesis ability though interesting, as in Half-Life's gravity gun, never felt like it was mandatory since it could be replaced by a "pick-up objects" key but still was an interesting touch that definitely deserves working on, as I'm sure it shall become important to the story in the following chapters.A couple problems with ennemy despawning too, dunno if it's on purpose or not but in the end I think I've only died once to the maniacs...but still, their apparitions, as scarce as may be, litterally made me think "oh♥♥♥♥♥♥" especially the woman with her rattles, gasps, shouts whatever. They can easily be easily outruned and outwitted but just like all the AI in horror games.Overall I had a great time, great fun playing through this, another Indie developper I have confidence in, keep up the good work and bring us players even more scary moments and eerie universes...Worth a buy at 13€Oh and the bear traps...f*** you for those, I must have stepped into 80% of them lol. Although I am not into these sort of horror games, it's an amazing game that has a proper horror atmosphere and unique story, so if you are a fan of the genre I highly recommend it!PS : +1 for Greek production !. Indie horror thing in the vein of Amnesia et al i.e. lots of creeping about, monsters must be avoided as you've no offensive powers and there's some light physic-y puzzling. Looked pretty nice and was engaging enough at the time of playing but added little of note to the glut of these things on Steam and slightly over-stayed it's welcome.. Played a bit, it's very interesting, km going to save the rest of the gameplay for my YouTube and Instagram :) come check it out!!IG: VierraGamingXPYouTube: VierraGamingXP. I'm looking forward to an episode 2. Hopefully it will expand on the ending. Great graphics & spooky crypt crawl.. An unappreciated gem
